What is this product used for Neo Poly Dex Ophthalmic is a combination of the antibiotics neomycin and polymyxin B and the anti-inflammatory steroid dexamethasone. It is most often used to
treat severe conjunctivitis, nonulcerative keratitis and various corneal conditions.

How this medication should be used Neo Poly Dex Ophthalmic is not FDA approved for use in veterinary medicine; however, it is a commonly accepted practice for veterinarians to use this medication
in dogs, cats and horses. The drops are usually applied to the eye every 2 to 4 hours. Shake well before using the drops. The ointment is usually applied to the eye every 8 to 12 hours.
What are the side effects Side
effects when using Neo Poly Dex are not common; however, when the drops are applied there may be some transient stinging. When the ointment is used, there may be some transient blurring of vision.
What special precautions are there Neo Poly Dex should not be used in animals allergic to any of its individual ingredients. The medication should not be used in cats with possible herpes virus
infection. Contact the veterinarian if the condition does not show signs of improving within 48 hours, or, if the condition worsens. Do not touch the applicator tip of the bottle or tube to the eye or skin to
prevent contamination of the medication.
