What is this medication used for Reconcile is an antidepressant in a group of drugs called selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs). Reconcile affects chemicals in the brain that cause
depression, panic, anxiety, or obsession-compulsion. Reconcile is a prescription medication FDA approved for use in dogs for the treatment of canine separation anxiety in conjunction with a behavior modification
plan. Reconcile may also be used to treat obsessive-compulsive disorder.
Availability Reconcilelomipramine is available by prescription as chewable tablets.
How this medicine should be used Reconcile is available as 8mg, 16mg, 32mg and 64mg chewable tablets.The usual dose in dogs is 0.45mg-0.9mg/pound given once a day. It may take up to 3 or 4 weeks
before the medication becomes effective.
What are the side effects Side
effects that may occur include rash, hives, difficulty breathing, or swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat. If these or any other side effects occur, stop giving your pet Reconcile and contact your
veterinarian immediately.
What special precautions are there Avoid giving other medicines that can make your pet sleepy (cold or allergy medicine, pain medication, muscle relaxants, seizure medicine, or other medications
for depression or anxiety). Do not give Reconcile if your pet is using an MAO inhibitor such as Anipryl, selegiline, a Preventic Tick Collar, or Mitaban Dip. Side effects that may occur include rash, hives,
difficulty breathing, or swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat. If these or any other side effects occur, stop giving your pet Reconcile and contact your veterinarian immediately.
Overdose - what to look for Symptoms of overdose may include nausea, vomiting, fever, sleepiness, rapid or uneven heartbeat, panting and irritability, confusion, fainting, seizures, and coma.

How should I store this medication Keep this medication in the container it came in, tightly closed. Store this medication at room temperature, away from excess heat, light and moisture. Do not
