Availability Simplicef is available by prescription as 100mg scored tablets and 200mg tablets.
How this medication should be used Simplicef is FDA approved for use in veterinary medicine. The usual dose in dogs is 2.3-4.5mg per lb, given by mouth, once a day for 5 to 7 days or 2 to 3 days
beyond the cessation of clinical signs, up to a maximum of 28 days. The actual dose and duration of therapy is based on the particular infection and the dog's response to treatment.
What are the side effects Side effects of Simplicef may include vomiting, diarrhea and decreased appetite.
What special precautions are there This medication should not be used in animals allergic to it or other penicillins or cephalosporins. Use with caution in breeding, pregnant or lactating dogs. Use
